Jeff's Cowpuncher Hamburger Sauce

Cowpuncher is another name for cowboy.

This is also a marinade. We like to put a tablespoon or two on a burger, right before you add the cheese. Great juicy flavor. From the cookbook Texas on a Plate.

INGREDIENTS:

 8 oz brown sugar

1 t granulated garlic

1 t onion powder

1/2 black pepper

3 T French's yellow mustard

1 t Crystal or Tabasco hot sauce

1 t celery salt

10 oz soy sauce

5 oz Worcestershire sauce

5 oz A-1 sauce

5 oz Heinz 57 sauce

1 t freshly squeezed lemon juice

DIRECTIONS:

Combine first 8 ingredients in a medium glass mixing bowl (non-aluminum) Blend together with a Danish whisk until the mixture is smooth.

Add remaining ingredients one at a time, mixing vigorously after each addition. Transfer to a large glass canning jar with lid and store in the fridge until ready to use.

Cowpuncher Burger:

Add french fried onion string on top of burger. Serve with baked beans for a cowboy night.
